National Night Out – Tuesday, August 7th, 6:30pm – Dark

This is just a quick reminder about our National Night Out next Tuesday, August 7th from 6:30-Dark at the Collge Gardens Park at the corner of College Parkway and Princeton Place. I hope you can make it – the weather forecast is very promising!  Please bring a side dish or dessert to share.  Your civic association is providing burgers, dogs, Carmen’s Italian Ice, and watermelon.
We are also still in need of volunteers to help with general set up, clean up, and serving, as well as assist in the children’s activities.  Neighbor and volunteer, Susan Donohue, is again organizing fun & educational children’s’ activity stations.  We could really use more adults and teens to help out.  Please let me know if you can help us.
Last but certainly not least, we are also coordinating a food drive for Manna Food Center, the largest food bank in Montgomery County.  As residents in College Gardens we have so much to be thankful for, so let’s come together as a community and help reduce hunger.
Please bring foods items to add to our Manna collection on Tuesday.  Click here for a Manna’s Wish List of Food Items.  If you cannot attend Tuesday but can still donate, feel free to drop off your food items at my house and I’ll make sure they are added to the collection.  My address is 1601 Auburn Avenue.
It’s the neighbors that makes College Gardens such a great neighborhood.  On behalf of your Executive Committee, we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
